Trump Victory? Apple Moving Iphone Production Back to America?

Apple is trying to move its iPhone production back to America. Apple has approached the two manufacturing companies that are largely responsible for assembling iPhones: Foxconn and Pegatron.

The Nikkei Asian Review reported:

“Apple asked both Foxconn and Pegatron Corp., the two iPhone assemblers, in June to look into making iPhones in the U.S.,” a source said. “Foxconn complied, while Pegatron declined to formulate such a plan due to cost concerns.”

Remember this Promise, made by Trump?

We’re going to get Apple Computer to build their damn computers and things in this country, instead of in other countries.” He added, “We gotta bring back the jobs from China, we gotta bring back the jobs from Japan, and all these countries that are ripping us off. And we’re gonna do that. And we are gonna do that.”

This news doesn’t sit well with Silicon Valley. They’re not called “the valley of Democrats” for nothing. Silicon valley’s CEO’s are terrified that Trump will bring all the production they moved offshore BACK to the United States of America. However, it would be great to see Apple producing iPhones in America again, as well as all other products produced by Silicon Valley.
